Are you still addicted to those Angry Birds? Guess what’s coming?

There aren’t many ways anyone could have avoided those Angry Birds since their arrival back in December 2009.  Since then they have appeared on a number of formats and in a whole bunch of different styles, from Halloween, Valentines, St Patricks Day to an Advent Calendar version and many more.  Angry Birds became the top-selling paid application on Apple’s UK App Store in February 2010. Since release, the free, limited version of Angry Birds has been downloaded more than 11 million times for Apple’s iOS, and the full-featured paid version has been downloaded nearly 7 million times as of September 2010.

In case you have missed all the fuss, here’s the basics of the game:

In the game, players use a slingshot to launch birds at pigs stationed on or within various structures, with the intent of destroying all the pigs on the playfield. As players advance through the game, new birds appear, some with special abilities that can be activated by the player.
